London: 1887. Hardcover. Compiled by the overseers for 1887, the Jubilee Year of the reign of Her Most Gracious Majesty Queen Victoria. Two parts bound in one. Part 1: a facsimile reproduction of the original book from the title page to the last letter; and Part 2 consists of 121 engraved plates, two folding, to present the reader with exact copies of the silver plates added to the Box, or, more correctly, to the cases, from 1824-1887. The plates are prefaced by notes on the office of Overseer. Some observations on the Box, supplementing those given in the 1824 edition introduce the engravings of the plates and ornaments with which it has been embellished. A list of the Overseers of the Parishes from 1561 to 1887 and the names of subscribers are included. Rebacked in black cloth to match the original gilt stamped covers. Some edgewear to front cover, otherwise a bright, tight, crisp and clean copy. Very good. Item #9033339
