Illustrated story book produced by the McLoughlin Bros., the famous New York publishing house which pioneered the use of color printing technologies in children's books. Bound in publisher's original gray cloth with spine stamped in black and cover stamped in illustrated black, yellow, green, and red. The title page reads "Rays of Sunshine" in illustrated lettering, while the cloth cover and spine read "Sunshine Story Book." Each page features an illustration, some in three color (red, pale blue, and grey), some in full-color, some in black and white. One full-color illustration for "The Three Bears" covers both pages. The stories include "A Frog He Would A Wooing Go," "The Three Bears," "Cinderella," "The Silly Hare," "The Three Little Pigs," and "Cock Robin." Text block is clean and sharp, with a one-inch closed tear to top of a single page near joint. Cloth cover has very minimal rubbing to extremities, minor discolorations to cloth, slight sunning to spine. 6 3/4 x 8 3/4 inches. Not paginated, 74 pages. Very Good. Item #9032789
