H. W. Mortimer, D. D. Bound in full black morocco with five raised bands on the spine. Spine is elaborately ornamented and ruled in gilt, with maroon label stamped in gilt. Covers are ruled in gilt. Page edges are marbled. Lords Public School medallion stamped in gilt on the cover. There is a portrait of William Woodward Mills, who became a C. of E. clergyman, in the National Gallery in London.
