Second volume, Allegories et Symboles, has 6 heliotype plates and 524 illustrations. Each volume bound in publisher's original blue cloth with spine and cover lettered in glit with gilt medallion on cover. Top edge gilt. Both volumes' exteriors have substantial wear at extremities and the exterior of volume two is split at both sides of the spine. Interior of both volumes is sound and tight.
